You are the recently-hired health administrator at a correctional facility / prison in New York State. Inmate suicide is a huge problem in your institution. You have been called in to collaborate with the counseling and guard representatives on a plan to prevent inmate suicides while reducing the costs associated with suicide watches.
Using evidence based resources and chapters two and five of your text: Curley, A. L. C., (2019). Population-Based Nursing (3rd Ed.), use the following steps in developing a plan (see beloow):
· Identify the geographic population targeted
· Using “PICO” (Population Studied, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome), develop a plan to reduce inmate suicide while reducing the costs associated with suicide watches.
· Based on your PICO plan, develop an appropriate research question based on what you would like to explore and achieve with your interventions.
· Discuss the community engagement of at least one public and/or private partner who may be beneficial in improving the situation. How could they contribute?
· Identify a model (i.e. the Advancing Research and Clinical Practice through Close Collaboration [ARCC], the Chronic Care Model [CCM], the Johns Hopkins Nursing Model, the Iowa Model of Evidence-Based Practice to Promote Quality of Care, etc.) that you believe will facilitate the implementation of your PICO plan. Give a rational why you believe it is the best model.
Develop an APA formatted 750-1000 word paper based on your findings and formulation of a plan.
Include a minimum of four (4) evidence-based references besides your texts.
